## Volume of a Cube

### Volume: Learn

Volume is the three-dimensional space within a solid shape.
The units of volume are the cubes of the units of length
(that is, if a shape's sides are measured in meters,
then the shape's area is measured in *cubic meters*).

Since all of the side lengths of a cube are identical, we can calculate
the volume of a cube by multiplying the side length by itself 3 times. You
might see this as the formula V=s^{3}

For example, the volume of a cube with side length 5m is 5*5*5 = 125m^{3}.
